Members of the WG2E Street Team will read submissions and choose the best for the anthology. Notifications will be sent out no later than May 15, 2013.

In order to eliminate any biases or favoritisms, submissions will be read blind. One person will be in charge of accepting submissions and sending them out to the readers without authors’ names. Therefore, it is very important that you follow the instructions above. If you do not, your submission may not be read.

Expenses (i.e. cover, editing, etc.) will be split equally between all authors accepted into the anthology.

Royalties will be split between the authors and those from the WG2E Street Team working on the anthology.

If your story is accepted, you agree not to publish or permit others to publish the story in any form prior to its publication and appearance in the Anthology and for the first one hundred-eighty (180) days after the official publication date.

Make sure your submission is as ready for publication as you can make it. If it requires extensive revisions or editing, it will not be accepted.

We are very excited to get started on this anthology. Our previous one, TALES FROM THE MIST, was a lot of fun and has been successful, ranking in the top 10 in categories on several occasions since its release in October 2012. It has an average of 4.8 stars from reviews on Amazon and an average of 4.7 stars on Goodreads.

If you’re interested in seeing our work, you can find TALES FROM THE MIST at the following:

You can find us here: facebook

So think up a natural disaster you can throw your characters into and start writing. We’re looking forward to reading your stories. J

The WG2E Street Team just wants to take a minute to confirm and clarify a few things about the anthology. First of all this is a collaborative venture between authors. The WG2E Street Team originally set out to do anthologies that highlighted our members’ works. After the success of the first one, we were asked to open it up to the public for submissions and were happy to give it a try. We decided to honor that request with this current anthology. Once we see the results of this one, we’ll decide if we’ll do more.

We’re using the same terms as last time in a collaborative effort between writers – where expenses and profits are shared.

This helps all authors involved. By sharing the expense, it cuts down on what the author would have spent to get his or her short story edited and ready to publish. If your story is accepted, you’ll have a completely edited story that you can republish on your own six months after it is published in the anthology.

The authors also get the help with promotion of not only the other authors involved but the whole WG2E Street team. This helps to get your piece in front of more people. And that’s really the primary purpose of anthologies, isn’t it? For readers to get to know you and hopefully want to see more of your work?

So, with that being said, we have some confirmation on expenses. We’ve been working with reliable experts to get the costs down as much as possible so the authors’ investment can be recouped as quickly as possible.

For editing, formatting and covers (which includes both paperback and ebook) the cost for the anthology will be $445 plus the cost of the image(s) for the cover – approximate total $475. The amount for each author will depend upon the number of those chosen – between 10 and 13 most likely.

No expenses will be paid nor collected until all stories are confirmed and contracts signed.

If we do not have enough submissions to justify continuing the anthology, we reserve the right to cancel the project or close submissions to the public.

UPDATE: We did not receive enough submissions to continue with the anthology at this time. If we do go forward with it in a few months, submissions will no longer be open to the public. While we had some good stories submitted, there were other complications we had not thought about prior to trying this. We extend our heartfelt apologies.
